Partner.Co’s R&D Team Publishes New Study on Tahitian Noni

For over 25 years, Partner.Co’s scientists and researchers have been studying Tahitian noni and its potential for helping us in a variety of ways. Now, those same scientists are once again adding to their already long list of publications with a new article! Titled “The Influence of Noni Fruit Juice on Immune System Function,” it was published in the Journal of Biosciences and Medicines in December 2023.

Key Takeaways

  • Increased IL-2 activities have been observed, and the role of IL-2 in the body’s response to microbial infection is well known.
  • Increased natural killer-cell activities have been observed. The role of natural killer cells in destroying tumors and cells infected with viruses is also well known.
  • “Increased interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) production is an important mechanism of action through which noni improves immune function.”
  • “Noni promotes regulatory cytokine expression, such as IL-2, which stimulates CD4+ T cell differentiation.”

If none of those words make any sense to you, don’t worry, we’ll break it down. Tahitian noni — which we have used for decades and sourced from multigenerational family farms — is really good for you, and its ability to influence the immune system function has been demonstrated in both human and animal studies.

The Process

The study was published collaboratively by Partner.Co’s research team, which consists, in part, of Brett West (Senior Director of Research & Development), Akemi Uwaya (Senior Researcher), Fumiyuki Isami (Managing Director), Natsumi Tomida (Quality Assurance), Fernando Swartz (Vice President of Research & Development), Shixin Deng (Senior Manager and Research Scientist) and Barbara Cox-Lovesy (Global Director of Product).

In the article, the authors look at the results of numerous human and animal studies that explored the “potential mechanisms of action by which noni juice exerts its immunomodulatory effects.” Essentially, the researchers explored different studies where noni juice had some sort of effect on the immune system’s function.

Ongoing Research

While many of the noni fruit’s properties have been discussed (as is the case for the previous research analyzed in this article), our team is dedicated to finding out even more so that when we use noni in our products, we can know as much as possible about its effects on our bodies.

“One of the many things that I love about our R&D team is that not only are they constantly working to improve the products here at Partner.Co, but they’re using their collective knowledge to contribute to the wider scientific and wellness worlds with their research.”
