Summer Wellness Tips with 2025 Body Balance Journey Ambassador

Summertime is filled with fun and great memories, but hot temperatures and lack of sleep or routine can challenge your well-being. For this reason, we’ve partnered with our 2025 Body Balance Journey Ambassador Martina Anania on a social media series offering six tips tailored to summer wellness.

Whether you’re staying home or going away, these suggestions will help you feel in control of your health while still enjoying the best summer has to offer.

1. Hydration & Good Sleep

You’re always hearing it… but are you doing it? You should always aim to have at least 1.5/2 litres of water daily, but particularly in summer when we lose more water than usual through sweat. It may sound basic, but it’s small healthy habits like this that make a huge difference in your body!

Feeling sluggish or struggling to get up in the morning? To improve your sleep quality, set the room temperature between 19 – 23 ºC and swap screen time for a book or a relaxing nighttime routine.

Tip: Fill a bottle every time it gets empty and always keep it with you, so no matter how busy you are, you won’t forget to sip often. Plus, seasonal fruits such as watermelons and strawberries are also very hydrating. Make sure you have them in your kitchen!

2. Outdoor Exercising & Family Involvement

Make the most of the good weather! Head to your garden, closest park or beach and enjoy your favourite activity. It could be hiking, running, cycling, swimming, or playing sports… just try to avoid the hottest times of the day and bring plenty of water.

Tip: Share your passion with your loved ones – plan your next outdoor activity today and get your family and friends involved!

3. Smart Choices While on Holiday

Going away and worried about getting out of routine? In Martina’s words, “it’s all about balance, not perfection”, so don’t worry if you don’t follow your usual regime perfectly. Rather, try making smart choices whenever possible.

Tip: If you’re staying at a hotel, there’s usually plenty of fruits and healthy options to choose from at the buffet, so don’t skip them. Always carry water with you and walk rather than using transport, if possible. These simple steps can help you feel in control while having a deserved downtime!

4. Protect & Moisturise Your Skin

Whether you’ll be directly under the sun or not, apply sunscreen and moisturise your skin daily. Now, it’s not just about treating the surface: healthy skin starts from within, so nourish it from the inside with plenty of water and a vitamin-rich diet.

Tip: We’ve got some beauty essentials you can add to your regime, such as Beauty Boost™, which supports skin, hair and nails through biotin and zinc, among other ingredients, and the new Co.Lab™ EverGlow*, specially formulated to replenish the natural collagen decline and *maintain skin and hair pigmentation with copper.

5. Have Fun with Healthy Recipes

Every season comes with unique foods, so get into the habit of using seasonal ingredients in your recipes. Not only will this add variety to your diet, but also ensure you benefit from their highest nutritional content.

Tip: In summer, create refreshing meals and snacks using aubergines, courgettes, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, berries… Get creative, try new recipes and make it fun. Need inspiration? 6. Refresh with Healthy Mocktails

When it gets hot, we feel tempted to indulge in our favourite soft drinks and store-bought juices full of refined sugars. However, there are plenty of healthy ingredients and fruits available in summer to create delicious drinks that not only satisfy your thirst but are also beneficial!

Tip: Martina loves simply mixing lime, mint and cucumber with sparkling water, or making iced fruit tea. Check out our mocktails in the wellness and lifestyle sections of the blog or scroll through our Facebook page to find Barbara Cox-Lovesy’s new summer recipes!

Your lifestyle is made of small, daily habits. When aligned with your mindset, you’ll feel the difference, inside and out.
